<lj-embed id="6" />

Introspective

You like your own company; you're a very interesting person. Tracking your own mental processes, knowing what you're thinking and why you do what you do, is important to you. Often, what's going on in your mind is more compelling than what's going on outside.
You are not someone who is constantly looking to be among a group of friends; you never feel bored when you are by yourself.
For the most part, those with a high score on the "introspective" trait enjoy reading, taking long walks, learning new things, and other solitary activities.

Aesthetic

You appreciate art, beauty, and design; you know that they are not superficial but absolutely crucial to living the good life. You have good taste, and you're proud of it.
You don't think it's pretentious to be moved by art and beauty. You're not one of those who believe it doesn't matter what something looks like as long as it does its job.
Those with a high score on the "aesthetic" trait are often employed in literary or artistic professions, enjoy domestic activities — doing things around the house — and are enthusiastic about the arts, reading, and travel.

Creative

You are good at solving problems, coming up with original ideas, and seeing connections between things, connections that most other people miss.
You do not shun abstractions and concepts in favor of the concrete and tangible.
People with a high score on the "creative" trait often are employed in such fields as finance and scientific research, and enjoy avant garde and classical music as well as literary fiction and scholarly non-fiction.

Original

You are constantly coming up with new ideas. For you, the world as it exists is just a jumping-off place; what's going on inside your mind is often more interesting than what's going on outside.
You don't feel that the road to success is to be a realist and stick to the program; you never stop yourself from coming up with new ideas or telling the world what you're thinking about.

Intellectual

You are thoughtful, rational, and comfortable in the world of ideas. People find you interesting to talk to. You're the living embodiment of the saying "You learn something new every day."
You do not avoid abstract conversation, experimenting with new ideas, or studying new things. It bores you to stick to the straight and narrow of what you already know.
In general, those with a high score on the "intellectual" trait are employed in such fields as teaching and research, and are enthusiastic about reading, foreign films, and classical music.

Curious

You like to get to the bottom of things. You're not content knowing what someone did; you want to know why they did it.
You don't simply take things as they are and move on; you're not content skimming along on the surface; you don't feel you're wasting time by digging for the meaning of things.

Innovative

You come up with a lot of ideas; if one doesn't work out, there's always another waiting in the wings. You often have interesting solutions to difficult problems. You're practically a one-person brainstorming session.
You are less interested changing the world than in dealing with things as they are. Unlike those who spend all their time trying to solve problems, you prefer to zero in on things that work and stick with them.

Competent

You strive to master everything you undertake. You tend to learn quickly and do not shy away from challenges.
You are not a "que sera sera" type of person, nor do you go easy on yourself when attempting to master a new skill or get a job done.

Astute

You are a quick study. You generally don't need to have things explained to you more than once. When presented with a problem, you will often have an instant understanding of where to look for the solution.
You do not take your sweet time when presented with a new task to complete or problem to solve. You don't avoid assignments that require you to learn new skills.

Accessible

You're comfortable expressing yourself in words and actions, with no self-censorship. You believe that if someone doesn't like what they see it's not your problem, but theirs.
You don't see the need to keep your thoughts to yourself, or to have a zone of privacy that encompasses only yourself and a small circle of friends and relatives.
A high score on the "accessible" trait suggests that you have a lot of friends, socialize often, and enjoy rap/hip-hop music.

except for that last bit about socializing often, i am officially weirded out. but i notice that there are a lot of conflicting traits here, like i'm focused but inefficient. i guess i'm focused if i'm doing something i enjoy...maybe it does make sense.

midnight adventures with amanda!

i gots the cramps. we all know that those suck mightily. but i figured that, since i'm such a light-weight, that one advil would do the trick before bed.

no such luck. so around 12:30 i took another advil...thereby depleting my meager supply in my room. one hour later, that advil isn't nearly having the effect i want it too. so i decide to make the journey downstairs to the medicine cabinet. in the dark. with my pops sleeping on the couch. he can usually tell when it's "that time" anyways, i didn't need to be made fun of for it in the middle of the night. so i tip-toed and kept the lights of, and sweet victory! the light on the microwave might be enough to see what it is i plan on ingesting!

advil...regular. darn. more regular...tylenol for kids. oh, that'll work. cold fx...i don't think so. one-a-day? umm, we're not quite there yet..advil: extra strength. bingo!

okay, but why are these round and squishy? they're usually rather hard little capsules. but these feel like liqui-gels. and my mom has this nasty habit of putting random pills in random bottles. maybe this isn't such a great plan.

who cares! i'm tired! *swallows*

oh boy, once that thing, whatever it was, kicked in, i felt like i was floating. floating, and then the next thing i knew, drooling and sleeping and dreaming about the strangest stuff ever. for about five hours, i was under the notion that i was still in high school and that i needed to learn that part on clarinet asap. and i was taking french lessons at the u, and so were about 30 other people. janet was there, and then she was replaced by some strange looking man, to whom i said "that shirt makes you look like a magician" (see it crowd, series 3, episode 2) and the whole bus burst int laughter. and it was then that i remembered "hey, i'm not in high school! i'm in university! and i have a paper to edit that's due tomorrow morning!"

and so in my strange half-sleep i editted an imaginary paper. i was getting quite stressed over it. and after stressing for an hour or so, i finally snapped out of it and finally took note of the fact that every had been a dream. i am not a high school student, nor am i editting an essay. i am actually on vacation. and the word took a minute for me to comprehend (wow! that advil was effective!).

moral of the story? don't search for painkillers in the dark.

just so you know: apparently, they were just advil extra strenth liqui-gels. meant for people with migraines. but i guess when you take into account the other two advil i took, and my unnatural light-weightedness, that was a lot of ibuprofen.

the end!

-s

results were moderately low which suggests you are, at times, overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment.

Extraversion results were very low which suggests you are extremely reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive.

trait snapshot:
secretive, reclusive, messy, disorganized, introverted, unassertive, rarely worries, dislikes large parties, does not like to fit in, does not need to control others, solitary, ambivalent about chaos, tough, leisurely, does not respect authority, not aggressive, observer, abstract, impractical, dislikes leadership, daydreamer, bizarre, does not make friends easily, not a perfectionist, suspicious, rarely irritated, strong physical instincts, unsympathetic at times, risk taker, submissive, weird, sarcastic, strange

---------

that's effing creepy. especially the trait snapshot thingy.

uhm...that's it. nothing else interesting happened this weekend. it's 8 o'clock and i have yet to do that essay thing, but i don't have a topic yet.

err and robert has tendinitis, i think that's how it's spelled. but yah. so he's got a sling and he can't play hockey tonight or do the volley-ball tryouts this week. i feel kind of bad. but then i make a cripple joke in my mind and i feel normal again.
